How much does an aviation medical examination cost?
The cost of an aviation medical examination depends on the type of examination and whether any additional tests are required. At AirLein Medical, our fees are transparent, so you know what to expect in advance.

Frequently asked questions
Which aviation medical do I need?
The medical you need depends on your licence. Has your medical certificate expired, but was the expiry date less than five years ago? You may be eligible for a renewal medical. After five years, you will need an initial medical again. Find out more on our page about the different medical classes.
How far in advance can I book my aviation medical?
You can have your renewal medical from 45 days before the expiry date of your current medical certificate, without changing its existing expiry date.
If you have your examination earlier, your new medical certificate will be valid from the date of the examination. This may mean an earlier expiry date.
We therefore recommend booking your renewal medical in good time, while allowing for this 45-day period.
What should I bring to my medical?
Please make sure to bring all required forms and documents, completed and in full, to your appointment. Most importantly, bring details of any changes since your previous medical. If relevant information is missing, the examination cannot be completed. Unsure which documents you need? Please contact us in advance. You can find the full checklist on the appointments page. Can I book an appointment outside the online calendar?
In some cases, this is possible. Contact us to discuss the options. A €100 surcharge applies to evening and weekend appointments.
